Sat. 8AM Storm Update

Latest storm has put down heavy rain showers at Lake Tahoe ( it has risen 2 inches in last 24 hours). Light snow in foothills with scattered showers decreasing by tonight. Flash Flood Watch dropped by the Reno NWS as of Sat. morning.

Today: Rain showers before 10am, then snow showers. High near 40. Breezy, with a west wind between 15 and 25 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Tonight: A 10 percent chance of snow after 4am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 27. West wind between 5 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Sunday: A slight chance of rain and snow before 10am, then rain likely. Snow level 4900 feet rising to 5600 feet. Cloudy, with a high near 45. Breezy, with a southwest wind between 10 and 20 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Sunday Night: Rain likely before 10pm, then snow likely. Cloudy, with a low around 30. Southwest wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Monday: A 50 percent chance of snow. Cloudy, with a high near 40. West wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
