ODOT Reports Problems on Coast, Southern Highways

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Foul weather is snarling traffic at the Siskiyou Summit where Interstate 5 crosses the California-Oregon border.

The Oregon Department of Transportation said Thursday morning that snow, ice, fog and wind are causing delays and sometimes bringing traffic to a halt.

The department says tire chains are required, and travelers should carry emergency supplies.

High water and landslides are causing delays and detours on roads along the Oregon coast, as well.
