High pressure setting up to our east will keep the next west coast storm north of us. By the time Wednesday night and Thanksgiving morning roll around, that high pressure starts to break down and move east.
With high pressure out of the way we could see some wet weather for the holiday. There should be some snow falling in the Sierra Nevada Mountains Wednesday night through Thursday morning. Most of that snow should stay near the crest with the Tahoe basin only seeing very light snow.
Reno/Sparks has a better chance for seeing snow on the valley floor Thanksgiving evening. It doesn't look like a huge storm, but it does look like there could be enough to give us some problems with the extra cars on the roads.
