Friday Web Weather

RENO, NV - Today we will see highs in the 70°s with breezes picking up a bit into the afternoon. Overall it is a great day. The same can not be said about Saturday.

We have a high wind watch that starts tonight and continues through Saturday. There is the potential for damaging wind on the valley floor. Reno should see gusts around 55mph with the more wind prone areas closer to 70mph.

There is also a decent amount of moisture with this storm. Reno will see rain showers through the day Saturday but some heavy snow is expected in the mountains Saturday afternoon. The winter storm watch starts Saturday morning in the Sierra and continues through Saturday evening.
