RENO, NV - Winds will gust up to 50mph in Reno for much of the day. Luckily we stay under relatively warm air all day so any wet weather that moves through is rain.
There is some rain in the mountains, but heavy snow in the highest elevations. There are already chain controls on I-80 and Mt. Rose highway. Roads will only get worse as we get into the afternoon.
The cold front makes its way through the Truckee Meadows by Saturday morning. This won't be a big snow storm for the valley floor but we should see some snow Saturday morning through Sunday. It should be a bit slushy on the valley floor with a couple inches possible in the foothills.
