RED FLAG WARNINGS ARE IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM FRIDAY FOR THE WESTERN NEVADA SIERRA FRONT...
As a trough moves through the Pacific Northwest, the atmospheric flow will be southwesterly-westerly. While this will take thunderstorms out of the forecast through the weekend and cool the temperatures into the 70s and 80s for highs, breezy to windy afternoons will result. With the dry conditions, that means extreme fire weather danger will continue for the next few days. Red Flag Warnings are up for the Sierra Front through Friday night. While wind will lessen over the weekend, this basic pattern will persist through early next week. -Jeff
