The death toll keeps rising after this past weekend's devastating cyclone in the Philippines. Over one thousand people people have died from what is turning out to be the Philippines deadliest storm ever. More bodies are being recovered but many were simply washed out to sea.
A tornado touched down yesterday in southwestern Louisiana. The twister tore off the roof top of a hospital and damaged some cars in the parking lot of that hospital. Some homes, and power lines were damaged as well. The National Weather Service says the tornado was a weak EF-1.
The storm system that walloped parts of the plains states has tapered off. Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma and north Texas were all affected.
