Heavy snow in Northern Japan has paralyzed traffic and forced schools to close. An avalanche has killed three bathers who were at a hot spring resort. Some parts of Northern Japan have received more than twice as much snow as normal.

NASA is giving us a glimpse of the moon like we've never seen before. The "far side" of the moon was photographed by a nasa spacecraft that arrived in lunar orbit on new years. You can also see a massive crater caused by an ancient cosmic collision.

People in Oklahoma and Texas got an unexpected light show late last night. It was caught on the dash camera of a police cruiser. The FAA says it was most likely a meteor. People from as far south as Waco and as far north as Oklahoma city reported seeing it.
