Extreme Weather

A powerful wind storm blew through Montana yesterday uprooting trees and making simply a mess of everything. Winds were as strong as 74mph with wind gusts up to 109mph.

People in southeast Texas are assessing the damage from a powerful storm that blew through yesterday morning. Residents near the town of Brenham say their mobile homes were shaking on their foundations. Power was knocked out in a huge part of town when trees uprooted and fell onto power lines. There were no reports of injuries.

Crews are working to clear up a rock slide that happened in Yosemite national park over the weekend. Highway 120 which is a major road through the park has been closed since Saturday. I could take months to get it back open. Federal officials are coming to the park today to assess the damage.
