In Austria a brief break in the snow this weekend allowed crews to get a head start on clearing out some of the snow. The heavy snow has caused power blackouts, blocked roads and cause avalanches. More snow for the area is on the way.
The flooding has subsided in southern Thailand and now the big task is clean up. Several roads are still blocked with mud and debris. In one village more than a thousand residents are trapped by those blocked roads. Many areas have already been declared disaster areas.
