Parts of Australia are seeing some of the worst flooding in 160 years. Dozens of residents in New South Wales had to be rescued when they became stranded in their cars. Shops are short of supplies as locals buy up food and other essentials.
Heavy fog and snow gripped several cities in China yesterday delaying flights at several airports. Crews were working furiously to de-ice planes and remove snow from the runways. Shanghai has been enveloped in smog clouds for the past 20 days.
Residents who live in Oahu are dealing with water that is at least a foot and a half deep. Postal carriers have to wade through the standing water to deliver the mail. The Honolulu fire department is helping to bail out trapped residents.
In Southern Nevada the wind gusts yesterday ripped roofs off of apartment buildings in Henderson. The winds snapped power lines and trees and even damaged carports. Flights in and out of town were delayed more than three hours.
