Extreme Weather - March 22

Folks in western Louisiana are trying to assess the damage this morning following a tornado that destroyed several homes near the Texas border. The National Weather Service classified it as an EF-1 tornado with winds of more than 100mph. A cemetery had several headstones toppled over and yards were filled with debris. Trees were uprooted as well.

A spring snowstorm blanketed the city of Salem, Oregon with a couple of inches of snow yesterday. The storm caused school delays and cancellations. The snow did not cause any major accidents but it did knock down trees and power lines.
