Extreme Weather - Feb. 23

The clean up is underway after a severe storm ripped through Floyd county, Georgia. The storm hit around 9:30PM last night. It damaged at least two businesses ripping the roof off one of them. The winds toppled trees and upended mailboxes. Some people reported seeing a tornado but that has not been confirmed by the National Weather Service.

A wind storm blasted through Colorado yesterday toppling trucks and smashing cars. Power lines and trees were knocked over as well. Authorities report that two wildfires were also spared by the wind.

Parts of Washington state are swamped after heavy rains triggered mudslides and flooding. At least one home was destroyed and another damaged by the one hundred foot mudslide near the town of Warm Beach. The beach side homes didn't stand a chance against the tree and debris packed mudslide.
