Poland continues to be dumped on under feet of snow. Thirty percent of the roads in one mountain district are considered impassable. They are covered by nearly five feet of snow. Dump trucks are being brought in from around the country to remove the tons of snow.
A strong cold air mass is bring snow to many parts across Japan, dumping heavy snow along the sea of Japan. Some parts got up to three feet of snow making for the heaviest snowfall in 28 years. Weather officials are cautioning people against icy roads and traffic disruptions as well as avalanches in snowy areas.
A slow moving system is bringing snow to North Carolina making a mess of the roads around Raleigh. Yesterday there were several fender benders across the state. The storm is now tapering off.
