LAS VEGAS (AP) - Medical examiners in Las Vegas are blaming two more deaths on a blistering heat wave that has pushed daytime temperatures to near-record highs since last weekend.

The tally brings to three the number of confirmed heat-related deaths in Clark County since Saturday, with causes pending in five other possible cases.

An aide to county Coroner Michael Murphy reported Wednesday that a 59-year-old homeless man found a little after 6 p.m. Tuesday in a vacant lot in the West Las Vegas neighborhood died from heat exposure.

The man also had complications from chronic alcoholism. His name wasn't immediately made public.

The coroner says the Tuesday death of 80-year-old Donald Lee Morrow in a parking lot outside a Laughlin casino was from chronic pulmonary disease, complicated by excessive heat.
