Calif. Storm Brings Intense Rain, Flood Warnings

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - The heavy rain that's been drenching Northern California is far from over.

A flash flood watch will remain in effect for most of the San Francisco Bay area through the weekend. Forecasters are anticipating a constant barrage of heavy to moderate downpours.

The region today got hit with the second in a series of storms, bringing heavy rain and strong winds that knocked out power, tied up traffic and caused flooding.

The storm may be linked to the death of a utility worker who was killed when his truck crashed into a signal pole in West Sacramento early today.

A highway near Fremont has been shut down by a mudslide. There's no estimate on when it will reopen.
