Woodburning Code Now Yellow

RENO, NV - The Washoe Health District has upped the burn code from red to yellow.

The strict ban on woodburning is over for the time being, with some of this week's pollution having cleared the air with light wind and a lack of burning in recent days.

Burning is allowed, but health officials are urging people to avoid burning if possible, to keep the air from getting overly polluted again, which would trigger another burn ban.

Remember to call the Air Quality Hotline at 785-4110 before you start a fire.
