Red Burn Ban Still in Effect for Truckee Meadows

RENO, NV - According to the Washoe County Health District, Air Quality Management Division, the current air quality index is 132 for PM2.5, which is in the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups range. The current woodburning color code is Red. A burn ban is in effect for all residential, commercial and open burning until air quality conditions improve.

A health advisory has been issued for sensitive groups. This includes children, the elderly, pregnant women, and people with respiratory or cardiovascular disease. People in these sensitive groups are advised to remain indoors when possible and refrain from extended outdoor activities. All others are advised to avoid strenuous outdoor activities.
