KOLO-TV Detailed Forecast

High pressure will keep the weather warm and dry through Tuesday. A trough of low pressure will approach the coast Tuesday night into Wednesday, returning breezy conditions to the region. As it moves inland Thursday, it will split. Cooler weather will result, with a chance of scattered showers and T-storms. By the end of the week, the southern half of the trough will cut off into a closed low that will linger in the region through the weekend. While this will keep some uncertainty in the forecast for the final days of summer, a return to a warm, dry weather pattern is likely. Smoke and haze will also remain a part of the forecast as long as wildfires continue to produce large amounts of smoke in northern and central California. -Jeff
