KOLO-TV Detailed Forecast

High pressure will keep the weather dry and quiet on Thanksgiving Day, and then weaken by Friday. Mornings will be chilly, with valley temperatures dipping into the 30s. Afternoons will be well above average, peaking in the mid 60s. Although details are hazy on timing, track, and intensity, it looks like stormy weather will return this weekend, as a couple of systems push into the West Coast. Light mountain snow and valley rain are possible both Saturday and Sunday, with snow levels around 6000-7000'. Controls are possible on the passes, including Donner Summit. The heaviest precipitation will likely occur Monday night through early Wednesday, and several feet of Sierra snowfall are possible, depending on the storm track. Stay tuned for forecast updates, as details on these storms come into better focus over the next few days. -Jeff
