Wednesday Web Weather

Active weather is in the forecast through the weekend, as a series of storm systems move through the region. Mainly light showers are expected through Wednesday, with most rain and snow west of the Sierra Crest. The weather will be windy at times on Wednesday, ahead of a stronger storm that will move in Wednesday night. This system will be warmer, with snow levels above 7,000'. It will bring heavy, wet, high-elevation Sierra snow, and rainfall to lower elevations. Localized flooding is possible. After a brief break, a couple of colder systems will bring snow showers late Friday through Sunday morning, with snow levels dropping to valley floors. Only minor accumulations are expected for valleys. Quieter, milder weather will return next week. Welcome spring! -Jeff
