Expect more of the same, as a strong high pressure ridge continues to dominate the forecast through at least the middle of December. This will bring cold nights, mild days, sunshine, and air quality issues at times (especially in the overnight-morning hours). No storms are in the forecast. -Jeff

Tuesday Web Weather

Clouds and light showers will increase by the end of the day on Tuesday. While controls are possible Tuesday and Wednesday above 7,000', accumulations in the Sierra will stay on the light side. For valleys, a few light rain showers are possible, with windy weather developing on Wednesday. The next strong system arrives Wednesday night, with valley wind and rain and Sierra snow. Snow levels will stay on the higher side, above Lake Tahoe Level early. Levels will fall to valley floors by Friday into Saturday. Spring arrives Tuesday morning, at 9:15 PDT. -Jeff
