Friday Web Weather

A fast-moving winter storm will move through the region over the next 24 hours. Expect winter driving conditions in the Sierra, with whiteout conditions possible. Controls are likely for many Sierra roads. Valleys will see gusty wind overnight and snow showers on Friday. While accumulation will be very light (if any), slippery spots for the morning and evening commutes are a possibility. The weather will quickly calm into Saturday. Another, weaker system will move quickly through late Sunday into Monday. Controls are again possible in the Sierra at that time. A third storm will move through midweek. While details are hazy, that system will likely bring more Sierra snow and windy conditions to western Nevada. -Jeff
