Visit RenoInitiative.org to sign up to volunteer for RISE and Dine! RISE and Dine is a hands-on giving project that mirrors the true spirit of Reno. Three Saturdays a month, our team invites volunteers throughout the community to cook their favorite recipes and together we serve dinner and distribute clothing to hundreds of locals without a home.
This Saturday at 5pm, we will meet outside of the Community Assistance Center (CAC) at 335 Record St. and serve about 250 or more people until 6pm. The event costs only as much as the food you bring and share! Don’t miss this great community potluck!
With the help of our supporters, RISE feeds thousands of Reno’s most poverty-stricken throughout the year. The RISE and Dine project is a truly special do-it-yourself experience that allows you to connect with people and families in need. By volunteering or donating, YOU are warmth and comfort to the men, women and children who go to bed hungry in Reno.

Franktown Corners, 2321 Kietzke Ln., the corner of Kietzke Lane and Grove Street
On September 20 at 10 a.m., Reno residents can line up for a free child or infant safety seat check, at REMSA’s Point of Impact program’s monthly checkpoint. Hosted by Allstate Agency Owner Ramie Pratt and REMSA, this event serves as an educational experience for Reno residents to learn the proper way of securing a child’s safety seat. Last year, REMSA checked nearly 2,000 child seats in an effort to educate parents and make children safer. In addition, Point of Impact will be giving away free car seats to those in need. This event is open to the first 30 Reno residents to arrive at the location. Point of Impact will also be giving away up to 30 car seats to need based residents.
