Parker Stremmel was born and raised in Reno. A journalism graduate from the University of Nevada, Parker is excited to be part of the KOLO 8 News Now team.

Parker is no stranger to the northern Nevada television market: he previously worked for another news station in Reno. In between television stints, Parker earned his Masters in Business Administration from the University of Denver. Additionally, Parker has worked at ESPN, where he was honored with a national Emmy nomination for his work on multiple studio shows.

Parker is a huge sports fan. He is an avid follower of the San Francisco Giants, New England Patriots, Colorado Avalanche, Denver Pioneers hockey, and everything Nevada Wolf Pack. His two favorite sports memories are going to game one of the 2010 World Series and traveling with the 2006 Nevada men?s basketball team to the NCAA tournament.

On his days off, Parker enjoys volunteering, golfing, reading, the arts, and spending time with his family. Parker is also active with Artown.
