Kendra holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Edward R. Murrow School of Communications at Washington State University.
Kendra began her career at Entertainment Tonight, as Production Manager. She spent 5 years there coordinating coverage of the major award shows, movie junkets, and breaking stories.
Afterwards she moved on to become Supervising Producer/Writer at CitiCABLE 3 in Torrance, California.
There she was responsible for anchoring a local entertainment show. Enterprising station content, special projects, intern training and development, and community relations were also responsibilities that she enjoyed in that position.
After ten years in Southern California the passion for local news and a desire to be closer to home prompted another career change. Kendra moved to Helena, Montana to anchor and produce a 10 pm newscast. A year later she made the move to Medford, Oregon where she enjoyed producing and anchoring a popular morning news program.
She is a self-proclaimed "news junkie" and holds memberships with the Society of Professional Journalists and the Radio and Television News Directors Association. She is drawn to the news industry because she loves learning about people and sharing in their joys and experiences.
Kendra is a Pacific Northwest native, and chose KOLO to enjoy the sense of community, quality of life and recreational opportunities Northern Nevada has to offer. Her interests include camping, golf, skiing, fishing, hiking, biking, shopping and PAC 10 football.
