Auburn has always liked telling stories. As a child, her family was sometimes forced to listen to her ramblings--but luckily, she found the one career where incessant talking is acceptable.

Auburn grew up in the beautiful Napa Valley in California. Her first job was cleaning rooms at a local bed & breakfast. Who knew she'd one day end up reporting the news?

She comes to Nevada from KNBN-TV in Rapid City, South Dakota where she worked solo--shooting, writing and editing all her own stories. While it wasn't exactly a glamorous job, Auburn says she had some experiences there she'll never forget--and hard work like that will keep her humble forever.

Prior to commercial television, Auburn spent five years in the Navy as a journalist. (Goooood Moooorrrninggg Vieeettnammmm!!!) Her favorite part of the experience was the two years she spent anchoring and reporting for the American Forces Network in Misawa, Japan.

Auburn joined KOLO-TV as a general assignment reporter in January, 2007. She quickly grew to love Reno, and is now proud to call the Truckee Meadows her home.

When she's not chattering away, Auburn enjoys trying new foods, taking spontaneous road trips, devouring good books and making people laugh. On weekends, you can find her riding bikes around Reno with her husband, Schuyler, or playing fetch with her lovable Boston Terrier, Moo.
