Meet Chris Buckley!
Chris Buckley joined KOLO 8 News Now in November of 2011. She comes to Reno from WGNO New Orleans, where she reported on everything from hurricane recovery to Saints mania.
Before that, she covered Minnesota’s Iron Range for KBJR Duluth. It was in Minnesota where she broke the story of a lost child’s dramatic rescue and secured an exclusive interview with then-Senator Hillary Clinton, and northern Minnesota will always hold a special place in her heart.
Chris began her career as lead anchor and news director at WBUP in Marquette, Michigan, where she anchored the morning news, evening news and a weekly feature show called “In Focus.”
Chris graduated from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism and holds an additional major in economics. She was born in southern California and grew up in Breckenridge, Colorado, and enjoys riding the waves and the slopes. Telling stories is her passion and she’s excited to have that opportunity here in the Reno/Tahoe area. You can e-mail her story ideas at email@example.com.
