Posted: 4:35 PM The Nevada football team will play at least one time on ESPN this season as the Wolf Pack’s game at San Diego State on Oct. 4 will be televised nationally at 6 p.m. by the network, the Mountain West announced Tuesday. The announcement was the first in a series of television releases by the league with television info and kickoff times for other games to be announced in the coming weeks.

The Pack has lost a season-high four in a row for the second time this season.
Updated: 9:06 PM Former Wolf Pack pitcher Eddie Bonine was released by the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday and signed to a minor league deal by the San Diego Padres. The Padres have assigned Bonine to Triple-A Tucson.

The Lobos have won the first two games of the series after taking Friday night’s game 5-2. The Wolf Pack is now 19-19 and 7-10 in MW play while UNM improved to 23-16 and 12-4 in the conference.

The loss dropped the Wolf Pack to 19-18 overall and 7-9 in MW play. The Lobos improved to 22-16 and 12-4 in conference action.
