Posted: 06/03/2009 - Tucson, Ariz. - University of Nevada freshman designated hitter Nick Melino has been named to the Louisville Slugger Freshmen All-America Team. The Las Vegas product is the sixth Wolf Pack freshmen All-America since 2000 joining Darrell Rasner (2000), Chris Dickerson (2001), Mateo Miramontes (2001), Brett Hayes (2003) and Shaun Kort (2007). Rasner, Dickerson, Miramontes and Hayes were all drafted by Major League Baseball clubs while Kort will be a senior for the Pack in 2010.
