RENO - Wolf Pack quarterback Cody Fajardo could be sidelined this weekend with a foot injury. He suffered a sprained foot in the loss to Colorado State last weekend.
"Cody's limited right now," said head coach Brian Polian. "He will go out with us today, but I'm sure he's not going to be able to participate at full speed."
Coach Polian reiterated that his knee is fine. Fajardo has been wearing a knee brace since suffering a sprain against UC Davis back in the second week of the season.
"I don't anticipate it (the foot sprain) being a major issue, but I'm not going to tell you as of right now that he will absolutely play in the game (on Saturday.) I don't know that yet."
If Fajardo can't go, Tyler Stewart would make the second start of his career. Stewart led Nevada to a win over Hawai'i earlier this season, completing 14-of-20 passes for 202 yards and three touchdowns.
Nevada (3-7, 2-5 MWC) hosts San Jose State (5-4, 4-2 MWC) on Saturday night at 7:30pm. The game will also air live on ESPNU.
