Longtime Nevada assistant coach Ken Wilson has been hired as Washington State's linebackers coach.

Footballscoop.com is reporting that graduate assistant Mike Bethea is also heading to Washington State.

Wilson coached at Nevada for 13 seasons and was recently named Assistant AD/Football Operations. Bethea spent two seasons as a graduate assistant at Nevada after playing linebacker for the Wolf Pack in 2008 and 2009.

Wilson released the following statement:

“I’ve spent more than two decades at the University of Nevada and I’ll forever be thankful for everything that this University and the Northern Nevada community has done for me and for my family. I want to thank Chris Ault and all of the administrators, coaches and staff that I’ve had the privilege of working with over the years. My family and I are truly excited for this next chapter of our lives but Reno and the University of Nevada will always have a special place in our hearts.”

Wilson and Bethea will join former Wolf Pack assistant coach Jim Mastro on Mike Leach's staff at Washington State.
