INDIANAPOLIS - A pair of former Wolf Pack football players had a great showing at the NFL combine on Tuesday.
Duke Williams really opened up some eyes, having the best time of any safety in two different drills.
He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.41 seconds, and did the three-cone drill in 4.00 seconds flat. The 6-foot, 190 pound Williams had the fifth-best broad jump at 10.6 inches, and the seventh-best vertical jump at 37.5 inches. He put up 225lbs 13 times on the bench press.
Khalid Wooten also impressed, coming in third among the cornerbacks in a pair of drills.
The 5-foot-11, 210 pound Wooten completed the 60-yard shuttle in 11.41 seconds and put up 17 reps on the bench press. He made the vertical jump in 33.5 inches and ran the 40-yard dash in 4.53 seconds.
Both players likely positioned themselves to be selected in the upcoming NFL draft.
