Nevada third baseman Austin Byler was named the CollegeBaseballInsider.com Louisville Slugger West Region Player of the Week. Earlier in the week Byler was named the Mountain West Player of the Week.
Byler batted .615 (8 for 13) in four games with three doubles, three home runs, five runs and 13 RBI. His slugging percentage was 1.538 during the 3-1 week. Byler had a pair of game-winning hits against Holy Cross, a three-run homer in the eighth on Saturday and RBI single in the bottom of the ninth on Sunday.
