RENO, Nev. (AP) - Nate Grimes, a highly recruited basketball player at Desert Pines High in Las Vegas, has added Nevada to the list of schools he's considering attending after he graduates in 2015.
The Reno Gazette-Journal reports (http://tinyurl.com/p8g76dd ) Grimes' AAU Coach Lamar Bigby confirmed on Twitter Wednesday that the Wolf Pack have offered a scholarship to the 6-foot-7 junior forward.
ESPN.com ranks him as the nation's 39th-best prospect at small forward for 2015. He already has offers from Oregon State, Utah State, San Jose State and Loyola Marymount, among others.
Bigby, who coaches the Las Vegas Knicks, says a handful of other Pac-12 schools have shown interest in Grimes as well. He says coaching staff from Iowa, Boston College and Colorado State also will be in Vegas soon to scout him.
