RENO, Nev. – The Nevada football team’s popular “Practice With the Pack” youth football day has been scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 19 at 1:30 p.m. at Wolf Pack Park, head coach Chris Ault announced today.
The event provides a unique opportunity for youth football players to practice with the Wolf Pack and interact with the players and coaching staff. It is open to all youth football players, middle-school aged and younger, and is free.
Youth players who wish to participate need only to wear a jersey or t-shirt and athletic shoes or football cleats. Players should also bring their own water to the event.
The youth players will have the opportunity to go through football drills with the Wolf Pack coaching staff and players. Nevada’s players and coaches will also be available after the event for pictures and autographs and free schedule posters will be distributed. Youth players will also receive a coupon code good for free admission to Nevada’s games against South Florida or Fresno State (with a paying adult).
“We’re always excited for our annual Practice With the Pack event as it is one of the oldest traditions of our football program,” Ault said. “This is a great opportunity for young players in our community to have a chance to interact with our team and I think our coaches and players enjoy it just as much as the children do. It’s a great experience for everyone involved and we’re looking forward to it.”
The clinic begins at 1:30 p.m. and will go until approximately 3 p.m. Wolf Pack Park is located directly east of Mackay Stadium and west of Peccole Park. Free parking is available in the lots next to Peccole Park (off Evans Road) with additional parking available in the West Stadium Parking Complex (off Virginia Street).
