RENO, Nev. (AP) - Ashley Lelie, a former star receiver at Hawaii who played seven seasons in the NFL, has been added to the Nevada Wolf Pack's coaching staff.
First-year coach Brian Polian announced Tuesday Lelie has been hired as offensive quality control coach replacing Pete Brown, who left Nevada for the same position at Iowa State last month.
The Denver Broncos picked Lelie 19th overall in the first round of the 2002 draft. He also played for San Francisco and Atlanta before closing out his NFL career at Oakland in 2008 with a total of 217 catches for 3,749 yards and 15 touchdowns.
The 33-year-old native of Bellflower, Calif., played at Hawaii with Nick Rolovich, the Warriors' record-breaking quarterback who now serves as Nevada's offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.
