RENO, Nev. – Nevada men’s golf coach Jacob Wilner announced on Wednesday the signing of Corey Eddings to a National Letter of Intent.

Eddings is a senior at Oakmont High School in Roseville, Calif. He qualified for the U.S. Junior Amateur each of the past two years and advanced to the match play (top 64) portion at each, including a trip to the round of 16 last year. He was also the medalist at the 2013 Junior Am qualifying event.

“Corey is a huge addition to our program,” Wilner said. “He has had a very high level of success in both the junior and amateur ranks. His ability to win multiple strong field golf tournaments is a good indication of his ability, confidence and intelligence on the course. I am very excited to be able to watch him grow as a student-athlete at Nevada.”

Eddings is a three-time All-Conference selection at Oakmont and was the league MVP in 2013. He was the State Fair Junior champion earlier this year and also won the Santa Barbara Invitational, which is part of the Future Champions World Series.
