BOISE, Idaho (AP) - First-year Nevada coach Brian Polian insists he's not fixating on the past in getting his team prepared for another visit to Bronco Stadium.

Considering the Wolf Pack's miserable track record in Boise in the last 16 years, Polian's decision to ignore the past seems a savvy strategy heading into Saturday's matchup between these longtime rivals.

Nevada (3-3, 2-1 Mountain West Conference) hasn't beaten the Broncos on the blue turf since 1997.

Since then, the Wolf Pack have lost seven straight in Boise, including a 2007 thriller when Boise State won 69-67 in four overtimes, spoiling then-freshman quarterback Colin Kaepernick's Nevada debut.

So Polian's message to his team this week is simple: Don't be intimidated and have fun playing.

Boise State (4-2, 2-1) has won two straight and trails Wyoming by a half-game in the conference's Mountain Division.
