Bakersfield QB Commits to Play at Nevada

BAKERSFIELD - Bakersfield high school quarterback Asauni Rufus has given his verbal commitment to play football at Nevada next season.

He will play defensive back for the Wolf Pack.

Rufus, 6-foot-0, 190lbs, has run for 994 yards and 17 touchdowns this season. He has also passed for 627 yards and six more TD's.

Rufus confirmed his decision on his Twitter page.

"Today, I committed to the University of Nevada, and I am proud of my decision. I look forward to building a feared defense that will be recognized through out the country."
