The Detroit Tigers made four more cuts on Thursday, but former Wolf Pack pitcher Eddie Bonine was not among them.
Earlier in the day the Detroit News published a report saying Bonine would likely be cut by the team.
The Tigers roster is now down to 38 players with Opening Day just a little bit more than a week away. Eventually, that will be trimmed down to 25 active players.
Bonine has a 0.82 ERA in eight innings this spring.
He has allowed just one run and eight hits while striking out five and walking two.
He is also a perfect 1-for-1 in save situations.
