Former Wolf Pack slugger Jacob Butler signed a contract with the St. Paul Saints of the American Association Of Independent Professional Baseball League, according to oursportscentral.com.
Butler had spent his entire career in the Toronto Blue Jays organization.
The 26-year-old hit .242 with 16 homers and 64 RBI in 122 games with the Double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats.
He also hit 25 doubles, three triples and had a .424 slugging percentage and a .341 on base percentage.
The Blue Jays selected Butler in the eighth round of the 2005 draft.
