Nevada's Scott Smith and San Jose State's Jay Myers were named Western Athletic Conference Men's Co-Golfers of the Week for February 16-22, while San Jose State's Erica Moston was named the women's Golfer of the Week.

Smith, a sophomore from Fallon, Nev. (Churchill County HS), and Myers, a freshman from San Jose, Calif. (Branham HS), both tied for 10th place with a 6-under par 210 in the John Burns Intercollegiate played last week in Wahiawa, Hawaii. Smith fired a 69-71-70 to post three sub-par rounds at the par 72 Leilehua Golf Course. It was his fourth top-10 finish of the year. Myers opened up the tournament with a 6-under 66 in the first round to go along with two rounds of even par for his fourth straight top-10 finish. Myers has been at level par or better in nine of his last 11 rounds.

Moston, a senior from Belmont, Calif. (Notre Dame HS), posted her best finish of the year at the Aztec Invitational when she finished in a tie for second place. Moston shot a 5-over par 221 that included a 69 in the first round. She recorded a total of eight birdies during the three rounds, six of which came in the first round, the most in one round for her this year.

The other men's nomination was Hawai'i junior Robert Berton.

The other women's nomination was New Mexico State senior Pang Chanachai.
