RENO, Nev. – The University of Nevada track and field team will compete in the all comers meets January 10 and 17 at CS Northridge. Nevada is spending two weeks at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif., as part of a training trip.
“The all comers meets at Northridge will give our athletes a great opportunity to train and test themselves before the second indoor meet of the season at Boise State,” head coach Shantel Twiggs said. “We have opportunity to train in Southern California and build team unity as we prepare for the 2009 campaign.”
For both all comers meets, running events will begin at 11:15 a.m. On the five Saturday's of the hammer and weight throw, competition will begin at 8:30 a.m at North Campus Stadium.
There will be three divisions contested each week, Open (College, Club and Unattached), Novice (High School, Junior High and Age Group) and Masters (35 years and older).
