World Cup Leader Tina Maze Wins Super-Combi Event

ST. MORITZ, Switzerland (AP) - Tina Maze of Slovenia won her third race of the season Friday at a World Cup super-combined event to extend her lead in the overall standings.

Maze was fastest in the Super-G and finish in an aggregate time of 2 minutes, 1.76 seconds after the slalom, beating Nicole Hosp of Austria by 0.88. Kathrin Zettel of Austria was 1.08 behind in third.

Defending overall champion Lindsey Vonn, who placed fourth in the Super-G, lost control of a ski while turning early in her slalom run and failed to finish.

Maze tops the standings with 497 points. Maria Hoefl-Riesch of Germany is next with 369, followed by Zettel with 320 and Vonn with 310.
