Wolf Pack Basketball Wins First Game of Season

RENO, Nev. - The Wolf Pack basketball team beat Cal State Fullerton 80-77 on Friday night in the first round of the Vision World Classic tournament.

Nevada point guard Deonte Burton rose to the occasion for the Pack, scoring a team-high 19 points in the win. He also had a key blocked shot with four seconds to go to protect a one-point lead.

Kevin Panzer scored a career-high 18 points for the Wolf Pack. Freshman Cole Huff came off the bench to score 11 points with nine rebounds.

Nevada will play Wisconsin-Green Bay on Saturday in the second round. Tip-off is set for 6pm at Lawlor Events Center.
