The Wolf Pack opens the season on Friday with two games in Santa Clara, Calif. versus Boston College and Santa Clara University. The games can be heard on 1060 AM.

Byler, who will play first base this season, led the team with a .346 batting average and eight home runs last year. In addition he had 10 doubles, three triples, scored 35 runs and was second on the squad with 40 RBI.

A junior Meyer is slated to start in left field for the Pack this season. A year ago he batted .302 with 11 doubles, a triple, two home runs and 18 RBI.

Wells will once again work in the weekend rotation in his junior season. Last year the lefty was 4-6 with a 4.39 ERA tossing 82 innings. His 68 strikeouts ranked second on the team as did his innings pitched.
