SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) - The San Jose Sharks have signed goalie Alex Stalock and forward Mike Brown to two-year contracts.
General manager Doug Wilson announced the moves on Tuesday as he begins looking ahead to rebuilding the team this offseason. Stalock and Brown were eligible for unrestricted free agency.
Stalock went 12-5-2 with a 1.87 goals against average in 24 games last season.
Brown had two goals and three assists in 48 games.
Wilson is looking ahead to an offseason rebuild after the Sharks blew a 3-0 series in a first-round playoff loss to Los Angeles. Wilson says he expects the team to take a step or two backward this season before they can achieve their ultimate goal of winning the Stanley Cup.
