GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) - Patrick Marleau scored in regulation and in the shootout, Joe Pavelski had a goal and an assist, and the San Jose Sharks beat the Phoenix Coyotes 4-3 on Friday night.
Brent Burns had a goal and an assist, and Joe Thornton had two assists in regulation for the Sharks.
Logan Couture and Marleau scored in the shootout and Antti Niemi sealed the two points by stopping Radim Vrbata and Oliver Ekman-Larsson.
David Moss had two goals, and Vrbata scored late in the third period to help send Phoenix to overtime for the fourth straight game.
The Coyotes were much better in their own end against San Jose, allowing 28 shots after giving up 101 combined in a pair of games in San Jose earlier this season.
