Seven Locals Drafted on Day Three of MLB Draft

Devonte German, Jake Bray, Brent McMinn, Garrett Hampson, Mark Nowaczewski, Joey Webb, and Conor Harber were all selected on day three of the Major League Baseball Draft.

German, a pitcher from Bishop Manogue, went in the 11th round to the Houston Astros.

Bray, a former Spanish Springs pitcher, was taken in the 12th round by Baltimore Orioles.

McMinn, a pitcher from the University of Nevada, was selected by the New York Mets in the 18th round.

Hampson, a shortstop from Reno High, was drafted by the Washington Nationals in the 26th round.

Nowaczewski, a pitcher from Reed High, went in the 27th round to the Boston Red Sox.

Webb, a former Damonte Ranch pitcher, was selected in the 28th round by the Nationals.

Harber, an outfielder from Western Nevada College, was taken in the 38th round by the Orioles.
