DALLAS - University of Nevada President Marc Johnson and Athletic Director Cary Groth reportedly interviewed five candidates for the vacant head football coach position on Thursday.
RGJ.com sports writer Chris Murray has identified three of those candidates; Arkansas offensive line coach Chris Klenakis, SMU defensive coordinator Tom Mason and Texas A&M special teams coordinator/tight ends coach Brian Polian.
Both Klenakis and Mason have been assistant coaches at Nevada in the past.
Johnson wants to make a decision by next Friday, January 11th to present to the Nevada System of Higher Education Board of Regents.
